More time for legal work,
less time searching and retyping.
In a law firm a large part of the day is not legal work. Finding the opinion written two years ago on a similar case, rebuilding the timeline of a case file, preparing standard letters, answering people who ask for an appointment. That is where artificial intelligence for lawyers saves hours, without touching the work that belongs to the professional.
Our AI for lawyers is not generic software, and we are not a law firm. If you are looking for a lawyer with expertise in artificial intelligence for an opinion on the AI Act, you need a specialized attorney. From Ciriè, near Turin, we build custom tools for firms all over Italy, such as an assistant that searches the firm's filings and opinions and cites the document, a system that anonymizes files before they are used with external tools, and automations for requests that arrive by email and through the website.
The starting constraint is confidentiality. We design where the data is kept, who can see what and how every answer can be checked, and we can install the model on the firm's own server. A cloud-based document assistant costs from €3,000 to €7,000; on-premises installation falls under custom programming, from €5,000. We use the same approach for AI for accountants; all our services are in artificial intelligence for business.
What it can do
AI for lawyers,
six uses in a law firm
Uses where AI does support work, as the law requires, and the result is always checked by a lawyer. Requests from the website are handled by an AI chatbot that never gives opinions; email routing is a job for AI agents.
Filings · Opinions · Internal precedents
Search across the firm's archive
Natural-language questions on the firm's filings, opinions and contracts, with answers that cite the document and the passage. The firm's body of knowledge becomes available to every authorized lawyer and assistant.
Let's talkPersonal data · Secrecy
Document anonymization
Names, Italian tax codes, addresses and other identifying data replaced before a document is used with an external tool, with a lookup table that stays at the firm.
Let's talkDrafts · Summaries · Timelines
Drafts and summaries for review
First drafts of recurring letters and documents based on the firm's templates, summaries of large case files, timelines of the facts extracted from the documents. Always as a draft, to be reviewed and signed.
Let's talkRequests · Appointments
Handling client requests
Email routing by matter and urgency, structured collection of requests from the website, appointment suggestions. Without ever giving legal guidance in place of the lawyer.
Let's talkContracts · Versions · Clauses
Contract review
Comparison between versions of a contract, clauses that depart from the firm's templates, terms and deadlines extracted into a table. The lawyer sees right away where to focus.
Let's talkDue diligence · Litigation
Large volumes of documents
Hundreds of documents from a due diligence or a lawsuit classified by type, date and parties, with a summary for each and a link to the original file.
Let's talkHow to choose
What is the best artificial intelligence
for lawyers?
On Google, artificial intelligence for lawyers mostly means ready-made software, often tied to legal databases, and many firms try ChatGPT or Claude for writing and summarizing. There is no single best AI for lawyers. The choice depends on what it has to do and where client documents end up.
Ready-made software is enough if
- You mainly need legal research on published legislation and rulings.
- You want to use ChatGPT or Claude for writing and summarizing, with a business plan and rules on what can be uploaded.
- The firm has few documents to consult.
- There is no need to connect the firm's practice management software.
You need a custom tool if
- You want to query the firm's archive of filings, opinions and contracts.
- Case files must not leave the firm and you need a model on your own server.
- Documents have to be anonymized before being used with external tools.
- Each lawyer must see only the matters they are authorized for.
Confidentiality
Professional secrecy
before technology.
The right question is not which AI to use, but where client documents end up. There are three possible architectures, the same as for ChatGPT for business, and we explain them before the quote.
Model on the firm's servers
An open source model installed on the firm's own server or in a data center you choose, so case files never leave the firm's infrastructure.
Cloud with contractual guarantees
Models from the major providers through business contracts that rule out the use of data for training, with processing in Europe where available and documents anonymized before sending.
Per-person access and logging
Each lawyer and assistant sees only the case files they are authorized for, and every search is kept in a log you can consult. Permissions follow the way the firm organizes its matters.
Rules
Artificial intelligence and the law,
what Law 132/2025 and the AI Act require
The rules that directly concern anyone using artificial intelligence in legal practice in Italy. This is not legal advice, and the assessment of your case remains yours.
-
Only instrumental and support activities
Italian Law no. 132 of 23 September 2025, in force since 10 October 2025, states in Article 13 that in intellectual professions AI may be used only for instrumental and support activities, with the professional's intellectual work prevailing. We design the tools exactly this way.
-
Informing the client
The same article requires the client to be given information about the AI systems used, in clear, simple and complete language. We explain in writing how the tool we build works, so you know what to communicate.
-
Decisions remain with the judge
For judicial activity, Article 15 of the same law always reserves to the judge every decision on the interpretation and application of the law, on the assessment of facts and evidence and on the adoption of measures. It is the same principle we apply in the tools for the firm.
-
Transparency for systems that talk to people
The European AI regulation (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), in force since 1 August 2024, requires from 2 August 2026 that anyone interacting with an AI system be informed of it. This applies to any chatbot on the firm's website.
-
GDPR and special category data
Filings and opinions often contain special category and criminal data. Data minimization, legal bases, agreements with providers and security measures must be defined before connecting any archive.
Limits
What AI must not do
in a law firm.
The best known risk is answers invented with confidence, such as rulings that do not exist. For case law the sources remain the official databases, and tools must be built so that errors are rare and immediately recognizable.
AI helps when it
- Searches and summarizes the firm's documents, citing the source.
- Prepares drafts based on templates the firm has already approved.
- Removes identifying data before external tools are used.
- Organizes requests and emails by matter and urgency.
AI must not
- Give opinions or legal guidance to clients.
- Cite case law without a verifiable source.
- Decide litigation strategy or assess the case.
- Work on case files without access rules and logging.
Pricing
How much AI costs

Where to start? Clear rules for the whole firm.
We find out how lawyers, trainee lawyers and the front office already use AI, write the rules on what can and cannot be uploaded to protect professional secrecy and train the firm on secure tools. It is the first step, before any development. Priced per project, with a fixed price after a first conversation.
The firm's server or the cloud, we decide together.
For a law firm the choice depends more on confidentiality than on cost. We make it together, looking at which case files need to be searchable and by whom.
On request, payment can be split into installments with no interest. 10% discount for payment in advance on amounts over €3,000.

Frequently asked questions about
artificial intelligence for lawyers
What is the best artificial intelligence for lawyers?
There is no single best one. For research on legislation and court rulings there is ready-made software tied to legal databases; for writing and summarizing, ChatGPT or Claude in their business versions work well, with clear rules on what can be uploaded. To query the firm's archive without case files leaving the firm you need a custom tool, which is what we build.
Is there AI for lawyers at no cost?
The basic versions of general-purpose assistants can be used without paying, but they are not suitable for client documents. With a personal account the firm does not have the control it needs to protect professional secrecy. Working on case files requires a business plan with contractual guarantees or a tool installed at the firm, and both have a cost.
How much does artificial intelligence for lawyers cost?
An assistant on the firm's filings and opinions costs from €3,000 to €7,000, with a timeline of 3 to 6 weeks. Installation on the firm's own server or automatic anonymization fall under custom programming, from €5,000 to €15,000.
Can a lawyer use artificial intelligence?
Yes, within the limits of Italian Law 132/2025. Article 13 allows its use for instrumental and support activities, with the professional's intellectual work prevailing, and requires the client to be informed about the systems used in clear language.
Can ChatGPT be used for legal filings?
As support, yes, for drafts, summaries and checks, but the filing remains the lawyer's work, and the lawyer reviews and signs it. Law 132/2025 allows AI in intellectual professions only for instrumental and support activities. The real risk is invented references, so every citation must be checked against the official databases. With ChatGPT or Claude one more rule applies, no client data in personal accounts.
How is professional secrecy protected?
By deciding first where the documents are kept. With a model installed on the firm's own server, case files never leave; with cloud models we use business contracts that rule out training on the data, processing in Europe where available and anonymization before sending. On top of that, each person sees only the matters they are authorized for and every search is kept in a log.
How do you avoid invented court rulings?
The assistant answers only from the firm's documents and always cites the file and the passage. If the information is not in the sources, it is instructed to say so. For external case law, checking against the official databases remains essential.
Do you also provide legal advice on artificial intelligence?
No, we are not a law firm. For an opinion on the AI Act or Law 132/2025 you need a lawyer who specializes in artificial intelligence. We build the technical tools and document how they work, so the lawyer has what they need for their assessment.
